Why has Audiomovers moved to Subscription-only?

As you will have noticed, we’ve made some changes to audiomovers.com, the biggest of which is that Listento licenses are now subscription-only.
Both the logged-out and logged-in aspects of Audiomovers.com have changed, to both make it easier for you to manage your license, and to get information about Audiomovers products.
What exactly has changed?
Audiomovers has moved to a subscription-only model for Listento streaming (whether from the plugin or the standalone app). There is still no charge to receive a stream.
You can instead choose between Monthly or Annual billing, where annual billing is 20% cheaper.
Listento now has three tiers depending on your needs:
- Standard (closest to our original offering)
- Standard+ (with an advanced set of features and with an increased limit of 150 listeners per account)
- Business (designed for larger teams)
As a subscriber, you will always have access to the current version of Listento, with all of the enhancements, bug fixes, and security updates.
There’s now one way to pay - you sign up for a subscription and it will automatically renew, so you will be automatically charged the same amount at the start of every month or year.
Payments are handled by our payment provider Paddle, so we can now accept credit card payments as well as Paypal.
As well as our Business plan, if you’re running a small team and need to assign licenses to them, you can buy Team Licenses.
You buy them in bulk (10 or more), they last for a year, and they can be reassigned twice in the year. If you have a large team and Team Licenses aren’t quite right, you can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss your needs.
We will no longer be offering:
- Weekly, Monthly or Yearly one-off passes
- Weekly subscriptions
- Multi Passes
How can I make changes to my subscription?
You can easily turn off the auto-renew in My Account > Billing, as well as upgrade or downgrade the tier you’re on.
You can also cancel at any time from within My Account > Billing, and your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle. No further payment will be taken.
How will the changes affect my current license status?
Your service will not be interrupted until your current license until either the expiration date of your license or until the next payment date (if you are an active subscriber).
You will receive an email based on your license type explaining how you will be affected If you were on a weekly subscription you will be automatically unsubscribed so you will be not charged again. When your license expires, you can choose one of the options available on the Pricing page.
You can check the status of your license at any time on the My Products Page under My Account.
Why have we changed to a subscription model?
Audiomovers launched Listento a few years back and in the last couple of years, it has exploded in popularity.
Our aim has always been to keep our product easy to use and price affordable. As we’ve grown, the different types of licenses and ways to pay became unmanageable, whilst our top clients requested payment auto-renew option to keep uninterrupted access to the service.
Hence, from today we’re making the options simpler whilst keeping the price low. And with that, we can concentrate on delivering exciting new features and stable high-quality service.
In the meantime, we have something to share with everyone who’s been on the journey with us so far.
