What should I do if LISTENTO displays a ‘connecting…’ message?

The most common cause is a software (third party or built-in) or physical firewall. In these cases, it’s worth knowing that Listento communicates via 80 and 443 ports. If you’re using the Listento standalone desktop app, make sure the app has access to these ports.

If you’re using the Listento plug-in in your DAW, then you will of course need to make sure your DAW isn’t blocked from using these ports.

Some other possible reasons for no transmission:

  • VPN settings / functions
  • The user is not an administrator
  • Mac OS parental control or screen time settings
  • Local Network Settings between router, network switch, etc.

If you perform any changes or reset your network, it is advised to restart your computer.
